SG/SGR elementTemperatures up to 1650°C operating in air atmospheres can be achieved by the use of the SG/SGR heating element. These elements have a higher surface density and lower porosity than other types of Silicon Carbide elements. They are ideally suited for use in R&D furnaces where cycling temperature ranges are often encountered, or the atmospheres tend to be aggressive. However there is an increasing demand for the use of SG/SGR elements in industrial applications where high temperature requirements are encountered.
